Only 50% of our organization’s operating costs are covered through vendor fees. We intentionally keep these fees low to help support small farmers and new businesses. This is where your support comes in—your monthly donation helps make up the difference and ensures our markets continue to thrive!

As a Sustaining Market Member, your contribution goes directly toward maintaining our vibrant community gathering spaces, funding educational programming, and building a stronger local food system. Your ongoing support is essential to the markets and programs we all love.

What does my donation fund?

  • Your generous donation directly supports over 110 farmers and vendors who are small business owners, providing them with a platform to sell their products and sustain their livelihoods.

  • By donating, you help us maintain vibrant community gathering spaces where neighbors come together to buy, eat, and learn about local food.

  • Through our Market Bucks program, your donation ensures equitable access to healthy, sustainably produced local food. This innovative program extends the buying power of shoppers using EBT cards by matching their purchases 3:1, up to $10 at the market. In 2022, nearly $7,000 in SNAP dollars were used and over $8,000 Market Bucks and Produce Bucks were redeemed.

  • Your support allows us to donate over 10,000 lbs of produce to local food shelves, addressing food insecurity in our community and nourishing those in need.

  • Donations fund the promotion and support of local artists and musicians at each market, fostering a thriving arts community and enriching the market experience.

  • Your contribution provides space for nonprofits to table and connect with the community, empowering them to share their missions and initiatives with a broader audience.

  • Funds support educational programming and fun kids' activities provided by the UMN Extension Master Gardeners, inspiring the next generation of green thumbs and environmental stewards.
