What we do
Nourishing Neighbors fights food insecurity and waste by fairly compensating local farmers for unsold produce, redirecting it to local food shelves. This ensures fresh, healthy food reaches those in need while supporting our agricultural community and promoting sustainability.
We've been chosen as a Change Matters Recipient by the Wedge Community Coop this March! When you round up your purchases, you're directly supporting our Nourishing Neighbors project.
Support this Program
You can make a difference in the lives of our neighbors by contributing to the Nourishing Neighbors program. Your donations enable us to continue our efforts in combating food insecurity and reducing food waste. The more the funds we raise, the more produce we can purchase from farmers, ultimately allowing us to feed more families in need.
Introducing our Partner: Twin Cities Food Justice
We are proud to collaborate with Twin Cities Food Justice (TCFJ), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Minneapolis, dedicated to improving food access and combating hunger in our community. Since March 2016, they have been at the forefront of organizing volunteers and establishing extensive relationships with food shelves, co-ops, grocery stores, and farmers markets.
Visit Twin Cities Food Justice's website to volunteer and join in collecting surplus produce for redistribution to local food shelves. Food shelves interested in participating in this program are encouraged to reach out to TCFJ directly.
