The Power of Produce (PoP) program is a vibrant youth nutrition initiative aimed at fostering healthy eating habits and empowering children to explore the world of fresh fruits and vegetables at our local farmers' market.

PoP is currently only funded and implemented at the Kingfield Farmers Market thanks to support from the Kingfield Neighborhood Association. If you’d like to see PoP at all of our markets, please donate below or email info@neighborhoodrootsmn.org to sponsor the program.

🥕 Empower Kids: Engage children aged 4-12 in a dynamic program promoting healthy eating and local farming.

🌽 $2 Weekly Tokens: Kids get a $2 token each week to choose fresh produce and plants – fostering good food choices.

🍎 Market Fun: Enjoy food tastings, interactive activities, and a farmers market scavenger hunt for an educational experience.

Volunteer with Power of Produce!

We invite passionate individuals and organizations to join us in organizing and hosting kids' activities at the market as part of the PoP program. Volunteers play a vital role in creating a fun and engaging experience for children, helping them learn about healthy eating in an interactive and enjoyable environment. Whether you have experience working with children or simply want to make a difference in your community, we welcome your involvement in this meaningful initiative.
